Thank you to Busch Gardens for partnering with me for this post. All opinions below are 100% my (and eight other people’s) own.
When I plan a vacation, I don’t need to have every detail nailed down, but I do like to have a general idea of what we’re doing.
So when we decided to visit Busch Gardens on our trip to Florida last month, I tried to remember back to the last time I was there.
Unfortunately it was over 20 years ago, and the only thing I remember with much clarity is my father, whose hand was still bandaged from an accident that amputated two of his fingers, holding up his arm in front of the alligator exhibit and jokingly telling a kid not to stick his hand through the bars.
With that in mind, I decided that after we went it might be helpful to my readers to compile a list of our favorite Busch Gardens attractions.
No matter your age, there’s something for everyone there. Below are our favorites.
Annelise, age 4- “Well, I was so excited to ride a cheetah, but…
My favorite was the airplane ride. Actually, the kite ride [Gwazi Gliders]! You could control your kite. I have three more things: the hippo ride [Zoe-patra & the Hippos of the Nile], trying my first roller coaster [Air Grover], and one more thing… watching Mommy and Samuel and Nolan go on the other kite ride [Jungle Flyers].”
Samuel, age 6- “[My favorite was] Cheetah Hunt because it was fun. In the beginning there was a big boost where you go straight up. It went 60 miles per hour.”
Eli, age 8- “Cheetah Hunt was my favorite because it went fast.”
Nolan, age 13- “I like the rides and the entertainment that they give. My favorite rides are Montu and SheiKra.”
Ellie, age 14- “My favorite thing to do at Busch Gardens is Cobra’s Curse. My favorite part is when it free spins!”
Lauren, age 34- “I loved Jungle Flyers. It was fun to sail out over a little bit of the park and be able to look around from a bird’s eye view.”
Kristi, age 42- “I like the variety of things to do: Kids’ rides, roller coasters, animals. The park is always clean and never feels crowded.”
Eric, age 43- “I liked that there was a good mixture between animals and rides.”
Jeff, age 44- “I enjoy the animals and watching my family have fun. I don’t like rides, but it’s fun to hear my family talk about them and there is plenty of entertainment at Busch Gardens besides the rides.”
So there you have it. Our favorite Busch Gardens attractions. If you’ve been, let me know your favorites!
And if you’re heading to LegoLand Florida, check out my post about the best rides there!
