I used to really like wearing skirts and dresses, especially in the summer. I could throw one on with a pair of flip flops and instantly feel casual, comfortable, and pretty, not to mention cool, on a hot summer day. How Skimmies Are Saving My Summer (1) Then I had kids.

Suddenly a bunch of the things I used to wear without a second thought were out of the question. Jewelry? Not if I didn’t want to scratch my baby with a bracelet or watch. Heels? Ha! And of course, the skirts and dresses I used to enjoy became something that were only pulled out of the closet on special occasions. When your days are spent standing, sitting, crawling, running, squatting, jumping, bending, skipping, and a million other verbs as you chase your kids around, it’s just not practical to wear something that can easily show off an area you’d rather not reveal to the world.

So for the past few years my dresses and skirts have been pushed to the far reaches of the closet where they’ve lived in hibernation, rarely seeing the light of day. This summer though, they’re coming out of hibernation!

Since I recently updated my wardrobe, I want to be able to wear all of the cute clothes I have, but I also want to run around with my kids and do the fun summer activities they love. Thankfully, I’ve discovered that those two things don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Jockey® Skimmies® Slipshort is saving my summer.

    I need these! I work at a car rental company and am constantly crawling in and around the cars to vacuum. I don’t need to be flashing anyone. Shorts look too casual for work, but we have to multitask.

    Finally a cute solution! Over the last few years, I have started wearing skorts because I find them more flattering than shorts. But they’re not easy to find. This is a fantastically adorable solution that would expand my summer wardrobe 10 fold. I can’t wait to try them!

      I love that they’re totally hidden, but there if you need them! They come in a bunch of different colors too, so that’s a bonus.

    That’s a cute dress! I love wearing skirts too, I’ve never heard of skimmies! They look much better than the weird pajama shorts I’ll wear under skirts sometimes!

    I wear skirts and dresses ALL summer long and have been looking for something like these! I love that they come in different colors and lengths. These are also perfect for my tall *just about teen* daughter!

    Honestly I am just gonna jump into it and say pick me pick me pick me…..although I love your dress and the idea of running, jumping and just hell walking without rubbing,stickies etc would be fantastic….and I love summer dresses and I live in the western mountains of maine literaly on the side a mountain….lol and I’ve had ohhh 3 glasses of wine…LOL
